Dear Ruth's family, please accept my feelings of sadness over your loss. My Aunt Ruth was a true pioneer for the right of women to be educated. She remained a born teacher her entire life. Ruth was always elegant, cultured, and articulate. May you all be comforted by warm memories of Ruth. Micki's daughter Tobye.

Dear Terry and Stevie, You know how your mother and your late father, Ben, were wonderful friends with my parents, Joey and Louis, spending lovely times together. And how your mother's artistic spirit was so infectious. She was the last of a very special generation and I will miss speaking to her. My deepest condolences, Miriam

Dear Terry and Steven- please accept my condolences. Your parents were wonderful friends of my late parents Debbie and Ben Salit and when my mother passed away many years ago they were always there to support my father. Though we lost touch over the years Ruth always encouraged me ,long ago ,in the art world opening many doors for me and I have never forgotten it. She was a special lady. With sympathy to you and your family . Rhona Salit Small

Dear Mrs. Tooberman and Berman families- It is with a truly broken heart that I pay tribute to a most exceptional lady- a lady with a heart of gold and a smile that was always present. I first came to know Ruth when I began volunteering at Mount Sinai and instantly connected with her. She stood apart from the other residents with her cheerful disposition and positive attitude as she faced her many challenges and her love of painting left me in awe by her creative talent . I am honoured to say that I have on display 2 original Ruth Rusk creations that I will forever cherish. Ruth loved her costume jewellery and it was only 2 months ago when I brought her some earrings and pins and by her hugs ,kisses and thanks-one would think that they were expensive Cartier gems. But that was Ruth- she appreciated everything. To her family- my heartfelt condolences and may you all find comfort in the beautiful memories she has given you. Her journey now ends- but her legacy lives on. Rest in peace-my dear Ruth. I will never forget you.

So sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. She was my mother's friend and her art teacher. Ruth was a warm, kind person. I was her neighbour on Kildare. I have a Ruth Berman original painting hanging on my den wall. The world is a sadder place with her gone. Be comforted by the happy memories. Benjie Trossman
