Our condolences to the family of Shena Sourkes. My husband and I had the privilege of sharing LMMC seats next to her for several years. A gracious, beautiful person who took a genuine interest in the person sitting next to her. May she rest in peace with her knight, colleague and husband of a lifetime. We shall remember her fondly. Irene and Roger Perrault

Dearest Barbara, Talia Jade, Myra and family, Our heartfelt condolences to you all and those fortunate to have known Shena. She was a great influence in my life -- her graciousness, intellect and ability to do so many different things well served as a model for me (and others) when I was a young professional with family. Her eagerness to hear the news from my family made her special throughout the decades. Her love goes on in all of you. Pam (and Jim, Jonathan/Gosia, and Julia)

ear cousins, as you know, Shena has been part of our family's life forever. She talked with my mother on the phone almost every day. Sometimes it was in hushed voices. I was never very good at listening in to figure out what they were saying. Maybe it was about health issues -- Shena was our medical advisor. But more often it was a conversation punctuated with enthusiasm, joy and laughter. I can still hear that today and will remember it always.

We will always remember Shena as a very dear friend. We counted with Shena and Ted as our earliest and closest friends since our arrival to Canada. We will cherish the memories of our long and multifaceted conversations. Shena was a person of high intelligence and culture with a tremendous sense of human values. She will be missed the Cuellos and by many. Her spirit will remain alive embodied in the McGill Theodore Sourkes Lecture Series of which she was an enthusiastic founder. We are sending to Myra, Barbara and family members our most felt condolences. Martha and Claudio Cuello

Dear Barbara, Myra, and families, it is with sadness that I hear of Shena's passing. She and Ted were part of that era of my parents - a very special progressive , intellectual, and cultural chapter in history. She was a fine woman. Always interested and interesting. She leaves a legacy. My deep condolences to you, and my thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Dear Myra , Barbara and the entire Sourkes family , I was saddened to read about Shena's passing . Both Shena and Ted were amazing , intellectually gifted and wonderful people. They were friends of my late parents Sara and Martin Regenstreif as were Shena's parents Ginda and Abram Rosenblatt . My memories of your family predate the wonderful summer when I first met Myra and Barbara at Lake Alverna and persist through the many years of concert-going when I was delighted to see Shena and Ted out and about together, and still enjoying themselves . I hope that many wonderful memories of your own will comfort you at this sad time . Marilyn.
