Dear Usher and Marianne's family: I am saddened by this news. Marianne suffered so much, but was selfless in caring about others. I met Marianne many years ago through an on-line word game that we play. During the chat, we discovered that we both lived in Montreal and knew people in common, and subsequently got together and became friends. Although I didn't know her very well, I always felt that she was a compassionate, honest and sincere person. I wish you strength at this difficult time.
