We were saddened to learn of the loss of your Special Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Bertha was a lady, intelligent, kind and appreciative of whatever was done for her. She never complained of her illness. Her answer to "how are you" was "fine and how are you" "so nice that you came to see me". She loved to talk about growing up in Saskatchewan. She also loved chocolate. She was so appreciative when I brought her something chocolate, in particular a chocolate mousse pastry. Unfortunately, as the illness progressed she could only eat less and less. I will miss our visits. Her finess of character and gentle personality will remain inspirational. May you be consoled among the mourners of Zion and Yerushalyim.

Our sincere condolences on the passing of a fine "lady". Our daughters Devorah and Tamar were always excited to bring her our homemade pizza's for Mishloach Manot on Purim, and receive in return her delicious home-baked cookies. At Mt. Sinai, she was very hospitable, recounting stories of her youth out west with her family, and how she met her "bashert" Abe Z"L", my co-gabbai at Beth Zion. She was always cheerful, and never once forgot to thank me for bringing her to and from activities at Mt. Sinai. We miss her already. Baruch Dayan HaEmet Elaine and Martin Labow and Family
