Fond memories of, and great affection arising from, the brief visits I had with Mrs. Klein when she visited my dear friend Rhoda in Ottawa. So lively and vibrant. So warm and engaging. My sincere condolences to all family members.

Dear Uncle Lou, Auntie Goldie and Cousins, I was so sorry to learn of this sad news. Auntie Jean was such a devoted sister to all of her siblings and she was equally blessed to have such loving and devoted children. To my cousins, I offer you comfort. I understand your loss as it is never easy to lose a parent no matter what the age. Unfortunately, we are not able to attend the funeral as we are presently in Europe. To the entire family, please know that I am thinking of you and sending my heartfelt condolences. Beverly Steinberg

LILLIAN Schanfield - 11 days ago

I was so sorry to learn of Auntie Jean’s death. As I grew into adulthood, I came to admire her as a courageous, independent, loyal, and strong woman. My daughter and I looked forward to her yearly visits to Florida, when we’d go out for lunch with her and either Frances or Rhoda. Her memory of family details was incredible. As of our last visit together, she was very vital and engaged, and that’s how I will remember her. When she spoke of my Mom (Doris), it was always with such admiration and love, and that sisterly bond naturally endeared me even more to her. And when she spoke of her own family, her face always shone with pride and love. To all the family, I wish you healing and the comfort that comes from treasuring the gift of her life. Her niece, Lillian Schanfield

My deepest sympathy to the entire family--my Auntie Jean was beloved by all. I am so sorry I was unable to visit with her for the last few years, but she always called to stay in touch. She was the youngest of the Steinberg sisters and very close to my mother--she came to the hospital every day to visit with Sonia during her last illness. She will be lovingly remembered by all. Gloria
