I knew Mel Rothman as a judge. A brilliant and compassionate jurist. Justice Rothman was always succinct, to the point and a judge who always got it right. As a jewish lawyer, I was always proud of the fine example he set for our people and our profession.

Dear Joan and Renee, My children Lara, Greg and Scott and I were very saddened to learn of Mel’s death and join me in sending our deepest condolences. We have such warm memories of our time amongst the Argyle Avenue Community and of the friendship you and Mel proffered when we the four of us landed there with dog Annabelle in tow. And then there was the motor trip to Stratford when I was included and Renee and I reconnected - what fun we all had! And then there was the wise council that Mel offered Lara on her choice of Law School! And the Christmas parties celebrated at 484. Mel will be missed in his many professional and by his family - dearly but also by his myriad friends. In our case we are blessed by so many lovely memories. Hugs to you both! 💕 Carol
