To Pearl’s Extended Family, Thank you for providing a live-stream of that moving funeral for cousin Pearl and the touching words of Neil, Ian and the grandkids. We could not make it to Montreal but I’m sure she would have wanted us to be there in spirit and so we were. Though we only got to know Pearl in later life (mainly through cousin Asher Suss, of blessed memory and with the wonderful assistance of cousin Helaine Herman) we always tried to see Pearl and Helaine whenever we visited Montreal and we usually spoke at holiday times. Pearl would regale us with stories of the Auerbach family going back to the immigration as well as stories of the third generation, of which my mother, Leila, also of blessed memory and who also loved Pearl, was included. Pearl was truly larger than life and will be sorely missed. Cousin Mark Goldberg and David Lugowski, New York, NY

Auntie pearl was just the coolest lady ever. She always looked great, fun to talk to, interested in everything going on with me , joe and the kids. she was so nice, warm , hilarious and super with it. She may have been 93 but she was never old. When my father, her nephew, zev died, she took special time to spend with me and made us laugh. I kind of thought she would live forever and through memories she will. I’ll miss her.

To Pearl's family, My heartfelt condolences to all of you for the passing of your mom. She was a dear friend of my late mother, Arlene Gilman, and I remember our many lunches, meeting for coffee, and visits where the 3 of us would talk endlessly! My children gave her the name "Parnissa" for some reason when they were young, and all through the years, that is how she signed her greeting cards when acknowledging milestone events. Our mothers had a wonderful friendship, and whenever I bumped into your Mom, we would hug so tightly and share a tear, knowing how much we both missed our lunch partner! May the future be filled with only sweet loving memories of your Mom's long life, and I wish you all the best of health in the new year. Fondly, Wendy

Pearl was my neighbour for over 5 years before I sold my condo as I was getting married and needed more space. We spoke before I left, and she was also thinking of moving. She was such a wonderful woman, even with her health issues she never complained and had a huge smile on her face. She reminded me of my bubbie so kind, polite, gracious and classy and seeing her in the lobby, hallway, elevator was always a pleasure . She often spoke about her family and how she looked for to the weekend dinners at her home. I was really sad to hear this news, may she Rest In Peace and May her family be spared any further sorrows. My most deepest sympathies.
