SHIRLEY R. NELSON - 11 days ago

TO THE FAMILY OF THE LATE PAUL BROWNSTEIN~~~I WAS JUST NOW SEARCHING THE PAPERMAN SITE FOR MY AUNT, WHO PASSED AWAY IN MONTREAL IN OCTOBER, AND WAS SHOCKED!!! TO LEARN THAT PAUL PASSED AWAY. I FIRST MET HIM YEARS AND YEARS AGO, HERE IN TORONTO, WHEN WE WERE SELLING OUR FIRST HOUSE ACROSS BAYVIEW VILLAGE. HE USED TO CALL ME "KID"...; BEING 13 YEARS YOUNGER THAN HIM, I ASSUME THAT HE WAS RIGHT. HE WAS THE MOST GENTLE OF PEOPLE I EVER MET. HE WAS IN A REAL TOUGH REAL ESTATE MARKET, AT THAT TIME, AND HAD TO ADVISE US ON HOW TO GET THE BEST FOR THE SALE OF OUR HOME. IF MEMORY IS CORRECT, AFTER THESE MANY, MANY, YEARS, (38 YEARS AGO) I THINK THAT HIS BIRTHDAY IS FEBRUARY 14th, ON VALENTINE'S DAY... I PRAY THAT I AM CORRECT. I USED TO CALL HIM AND WISH HIM HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I KNOW THAT HE IS AT PEACE, 'CUZ HE DESERVES TO BE. MAY HIS MEMORY BE FOR A BLESSING. I LIVE NOW. AT BAYVIEW AND STEELES. HE USED TO LIVE JUST EAST OF US, ON THE NORTH, THORNHILL SIDE. EVERYTIME I PASS THAT AREA, I STILL THINK OF HIM. FONDLY, SHIRLEY (NELSON)

Dear Taina, Pearl, Warren & Harvey & family, Heartfelt condolences to all of you on the passing of Uncle Paisy. I will never forget his generous spirit and the way he helped family as we moved to Toronto. He was the in charge and made sure that we got the right homes! I will never forget that he was always bringing chocolates during any of his visits with the family!!! He was so endearing. I am happy that I had a chance to visit with him during my last visit to Montreal in June. He had a long and wonderful life and wasn’t big on complaining. I hope the memories of happy times will help you during the days to follow. Love Joy, Peter and family.

Dear Harvey, Warren and family, our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your father, our dear Uncle Paisy. I have many fond memories of all the fun times our families had together when growing up in Chomedey, or celebrating various holidays at Bubby's house. Several years after moving to Toronto and starting the search for a new home, I was very grateful to have Uncle Paisy's guidance, dedication and tireless assistance, both when Elaine and I purchased and sold our first home, as well as when we bought the magical home we've lived in for almost 27 years. He could always be counted on to give you his best. May happy memories bring you comfort during this difficult time. Love, Rob, Elaine and Alexandra

Dear Warren and family, I will miss Uncle Paisy's smile, sparkly eyes, his ease with babies, and his sense of humour. My mother is so sad that she is not in Montreal. She loved her brother dearly and always told me how he was doing every time we talked. I am sad not to be with you tomorrow. Sending you love across the miles. xoxo Roma Pearl also sends her love.
