I was deeply saddened to learn of Arnie’s passing. He was one of those rare people where his kind disposition simply radiated from him. We met in the early 1980’s where every weekend we played softball together in Val David. As a middle aged man playing with boys in their twenties Arnie may not have been the best athlete on the field, but he probably was the most beloved. As my pharmacist during some very difficult illness years Arnie always made it a point to ask how I was doing. May the knowledge that Arnie touched the lives of so many people be a source of great comfort to his family.

Dear Smith family, how very heartbreaking it was to hear of Arnold's passing. I knew him as a fellow pharmacist for over 60 years. Even at a very young age Arnie had the most patience, and the greatest concern for his clients than any of us. These great qualities stayed with him his entire life, and were the reason his clients stayed with him wherever he went.
