Dear Richler family, I was deeply saddened to learn of Erika's passing. I always felt very close to her as she would remind me that she knew me since I was an infant. My family (the Salits) and Erika, her mother and sister, Motza lived together when we arrived in Canada. I loved listening to her tell me stories of my early childhood. She kept in touch with my mother z"l for years. I admired her warmth, gentleness, grace and kind spirit. I had the opportunity to visit her in Israel after she and your father made aliya and she was so happy to be with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I will miss her. May all the cherished memories that you shared as a family bring you comfort at this difficult time. Jerry joins me in sending our heartfelt condolences. Hamakom yenachem etchem betoch she'ar evlei Tzion v'Yerushalayim. Baila Aspler

Dearest Family' We have lost the second half of the epitome of what a Jewish couple should represent. Quiet yet powerful, teaching by example. Erika Richler was a woman of class and elegance, intelligent , not critical. opinionated but helpful. We are remembered by the name we have made for ourselves, no one can do it for you. The Richler family were proud Montrealer's, and most proud Jews. Erika's wisdom and love should continue to permeate your hearts and soul.

My dear Family, it is with deep sadness that I leave this message to you. I had the privilege to have known Erika z"l for most of my adult life and was deeply touched with her generosity of spirit and kindness of her soul. Her charm and genuine concern, sincerity and clever wit, would instill both confidence and comfort to all. Her honesty, integrity and determination set a new standard for us to aspire to. She was a role model of courage and defiance in the face of adversity. Erika personified love, kindness, compassion and true beauty. She loved you all, her children, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren and extended family with the passion and devotion that encompassed her life. She was a constant source of inspiration to all the lives she touched and enriched in so many ways. A life lived with grace and dignity. Her presence left an indelible influence on all our lives. May you all find comfort in the memories that are yours to cherish always and strength in the family and friendships of those who share this tremendous loss. My deepest and most profound feelings of love and sympathy are yours. May you all know no more sorrow. Helen
