Myrna and Rachelle Blaichman - 15 days ago

Dear Sharon, Hana, Jessie, Laura and family, We were so sorry to read the very sad news. Mrs. Zelikovic was a remarkable lady, a true matriarch of her family. I always enjoyed meeting her at IGA, she would fill me in on what was happening in your family and what she was planning to cook for them. She was so proud of each and every one of you. Rachelle still remembers her delicious Chanukah donuts but especially how warm and welcoming both your parents (grandparents) were when she visited them with Jessie. You have so many wonderful memories of their devotion and kindness. We hope these will bring you some peace of mind at this very stressful time. Our heartfelt sympathies to all of you. Stay well. Myrna and Rachelle Blaichman

Dear Family, I was Helen's driver to and from the Cummings Centre for the past few years on Tuesdays. We shared many laughs together, many discussions about each others families, She was never shy to say what was on her mind and called me a cowboy while I whisked her around the streets of Cote St Luc. I was so happy to see her at the JGH in March after her hip surgery and spoke to her weekly once she was moved to the rehab and again this past week when she was at the JGH, fighting for her life. We last spoke earlier in the week and she told me she loved me, and I told her I loved her and she'd better kick that COVID so we can continue our Tuesday drives when the Cummings Centre would re-open. I was so sad to hear the news today that she passed away. I have wonderful memories of a strong willed, feisty, stubborn blue eyed white haired lady. May her memory be a blessing. Helen, I will forever miss our weekly drives with you beside me in the passenger seat.
