Dearest Tsippy, Julie , Earl , Francine , To my sweet , beautiful, loveable Tsippy and her three children . I am heartbroken to hear that Morty has passed away . I know what an unimaginable loss this represents for you, Tsippy , for Julie , Earl , Francine, Andrew and the rest of his grandchildren, for Charles, Terry and Alex all of whom meant the world to him . Over my lifetime and my late parents’ , Auntie Millie and Uncle Lew, Morty was the life of the party at family celebrations with his bellowing laughter, his jokes often off-colour and his forever sunshine smile and warm heart. Memories of some Trout Lake summers.... Morty , Ronnie , Norm, Harry , Sammy orchestrating pranks on my parents and Auntie Jean / Uncle Percy which included corn flakes and bells, undoubtedly the brainchild of Morty . My parents loved their niece Tsippy and nephew Morty with all their heart and when Howard joined the family he shared the same love and affection . Tsippy your love and devotion to Morty knew no bounds and you and Julie , Earl and Francine brought a quality of life, a richness and love to his life in these last declining years . Wishing you Tsippy and all of Morty’s beautiful family strength and courage in your grief and may you be comforted by your beautiful memories and surrounded by his deep love and laugher. Martine ,Jon and Howard join me in sending their love . Arlene Lutter

Dear Tsippy, Franny, Julie, Earl and families, I cannot begin to sum up a lifetime of memories in a few short words. Tsippy, my earliest childhood memories include you and Morty......Sunday afternoon visits, followed by dinner in Chinatown, family holidays in Miami beach, then later years in Key Biscayne, (I could never keep up with Morty walking on the beach to the lighthouse). His laugh was infectious, his jokes hilarious, but he had a deep love of family and friends. Hopefully when these difficult days of separation ends, we can get together and reminisce. May your memories be of great comfort to you all today and always. with much love, Rochelle(Rachel), Jamie, Matthew, Erica and Hannah xoxo

No words to express how saddened I was when I heard that your beloved Morty had passed away. As I sat and thought of your great loss, all the happy memories of our 65 year friendship came back to me. We were both young and bought our first homes together and from that time we developed a closeness that lasted many years. We had so many good times and we became 1 big happy family. Morty playing jokes on all the neighbours and our kids spending time together. The kids became so close and still have such a strong friendship today. We laughed, cried and shared so many wonderful times. We celebrated holidays all together, and all those fond memories last a lifetime. May god give you strength to ease your pain, and may your love and your great devotion to your husband help you through these sad and hard times. Wishing you and your loved ones good health and long life. All my love Gertie.

Francine and Ben. Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your dear father. Although we were never fortunate enought to meet him, we know, in being around you for the last number of years, it is quite obvious that the joie de vivre was derived from someone quite special. As a side note my ( Leonard) father's name was also Mort and was know affectionately always as "Mort the sport" as well. We wish you no more sorrow.

Dear Tsippy, Franny, Earl, Julie & families - so sad to hear the news of Morty's passing. He was the definition of a 'character' and I will fondly remember the man who would tell me dirty jokes (to my mother's chagrin), the talking toilet seat in Outremont (when I wasn't busy doing the vacuuming), the adventures at Beekman Towers as well as countless other times that our families spent together. He loved to make others laugh and laugh himself and thinking of him will always bring a smile to my face. I'm sure he and my Dad are now togehter kibbitzing and plotting their next moves.

Dearest Auntie Tzippy, Franni, Julie, Earl, and the entire rest of the family. I am so sad for all of you on the loss of our beloved uncle Morty. your devoted husband aunty Tzippy, a loving father, and an adored grandfather. I grew up with Uncle Morty, he was a big part of my life. He always had a new joke to make us laugh or a funny impression of something. He used to keep his cupboard stocked with candy for my sweet tooth and always let me take whatever I wanted. There are so many stories and wonderful memories of us all spending time together. My children all knew him for his sense of humour and hearty laugh. He loved his grandchildren and they all loved him so very much. He will be greatly missed by the entire family. I am so sorry that these challenging times will not allow us all to be together. You are all in my hearts and in my thoughts. I am sending my love and tight hugs to you all. I love you all and am so sorry for your loss. Love the DAB; AKA Mrs K ( thats for you uncle )
