My condolences to you all. I am extremely saddened by this loss, and my heart goes out to the Daniels' family. I have very fond memories of being with Eddy and Maureen when I was young. They were always both very kind to me, and I remember always getting excited to see them. It was always a highlight of going to Montreal. It is always nice knowing there is an extended family in Canada whenever we need it, as all of you are my family, and hold a special place in my heart. In these times, it is important to come together, and I wish all of you the best. Love you all.

So sorry to hear about this terrible news. Eddy was always so kind to me when I had the fortune of being in his company. He always had a joke to spare. I wish that we could have spent more time together and gotten to know each other better. My condolences to everyone dealing with his passing.

To the Daniels family- Sending you my deepest condolences. It is with tremendous sadness that I learned of Eddy's passing. I have such fond memories of Eddy during the years he devoted to producing the Y shows. He seemed to always be in a good mood, with a big smile and a bigger heart. May you be comforted in knowing how special he was to so many.

Sheila Trestan - 17 days ago

We were so sad to read of Eddy's passing. We met Eddy over fifty years ago when Maureen helped decorate our house on Redwood Ave. Our relationship quickly blossomed into a deep friendship that continued both socially & through additional work projects. We enjoyed our time together as couples & Eddy was great company, interesting & always in good humour. Our Sincere Condolences Sheila & Gary Trestan

Dear Lloyd, Sara and family I was honored to be asked to play a final piece of music (Eli Eli) at your dear Dad’s graveside service. He was a fine man with an infectious laugh and when he smiled, his whole face lit up ! You stood by him Lloyd until the end and brought him comfort and joy with your weekly visits and daily phone calls ! Be of good courage these next days and weeks and know that your dear Dad has found peace. Love from your Bro (in law:) Christopher

One of my earliest memories of my Uncle Eddie was going to his office. So impressive and big, but the thing that really got to me was the refrigerator in the office. What a guy to have his own private fridge. Making a big impression never stopped with Eddie and I will always think of him that way. Even my last meeting with him, he charmed the wait staff. What was I, chopped liver? Well, with Eddie around there was always a bigger than life image for me. Even better he gave me my wonderful Aunt Maureen who's calls to me in Boston were always so special. The best gift I got from Eddie was my "brother from another Mother", his youngest Lloyd and his lovely wife Sara and wonderful family. Love to all and be safe.

Dear Lloyd & Sara & all of Eddy & Maureen’s grandchildren whom they adored . I was so sad to read that Eddy had died. There are many wonderful things to remember about Eddy.... his love of a good time, his love of food but mostly his love of people. Eddy seemed to know everyone. He would greet friends or acquaintances with a big smile, a sincere question about what was happening in their lives & almost invariably a new joke. Eddy never lost his sense of humor or his joie-de-vivre. Even when limited by failing eyesight, he somehow could find his way, on his own, into a new restaurant or be the first to notice & comment on a pretty woman. You were amazing caregivers & were profoundly admired, respected & loved by both Maureen & Eddy. My thoughts are with you. Eunice

Uncle Eddie and Aunt Maureen always played a big part in our lives from the time we were little. They were always so supportive of my mom and me and my sisters. There for all of our school plays as kids, our weddings and were always interested in what we were up to in our lives. Uncle Eddie will be missed by all of us.

We are terribly saddened to hear of the passing of our grandfather Eddie (Papa) Daniels. We find comfort in knowing he is reunited with his wife (Nana), his son (our father Greg) and his daughter Auntie Jen. We remember, look back and smile at the fond memories of: His love for smoked meat (and other Montréal classics), brunch’s and suppers at the golf club (Elmridge), arriving to family dinners at Nana and Papa’s to see Papa always being one course ahead of us all (to make sure it was good), taking Meghan (his granddaughter) and I out for breakfast to the Brown Derby and Murray’s when we were young, his never ending supply of candy, his smile, hearing about his breakfast routine (half bagel and an Organe juice), and of course his sharing and passion for food “wana try something good”. We will miss you Papa. May you Rest In Peace. We love you. Morgan, Melissa, James, Meghan, Deirdre
