My deepest sympathy to the family on your loss. We spent some childhood time together -Sylvia, Miriam and I. It was only a couple of years ago that I came together with Miriam, who recognized me after all these years. I just found a couple of photos of Sylvia and me. Life passes so quickly - 2 beautiful sisters. So lucky to have spent precious time with both of you. My heart goes out to all of you. Shirley

Jesse Konter - 16 days ago

My deepest sympathies to Goldie and the whole Goldapple family, Some of my fondest memories of childhood are of Miriam and Morty at that round white table in the house on Cleve road. I will always cherish those memories. Miriam’s devotion to her family was clear to see the minute you entered that home. From the bowl in the fridge stock full of deli sandwiches to her classic kraft dinner with extra melted cheese. It is those little touches that helped exemplify her love and devotion to her family. I would like to thank her for all this love and for raising a real mensch and my best friend, love you brother! This is an untimely, tragic and devastating loss for all of us. Sending love from the entire Konter and Cohen family. Love always, Fresse

A twinkling light has gone out in Montreal. Miriam's smile would brighten a room and her conversations would brighten your life. Chatting with Miriam could go on for hours, including so many different subjects - she was always interested in learning. Those study groups were soul food for her curiosity. Danny, Alissa, Naomi, Jean-Francois, David - remember her wise counsel and hold on to her unconditional love. Zachary, Amelie, Cloe and Cassie - your were the joy beneath her wings. You brought her her delightment. Keep her close to your hearts. Our 6-foot away hugs go out to all of you.

We were ushers at each others weddings and participated in each others Simchas when our children were born. We remember Miriam from those early days with great fondness. A quiet person who could become quite animated and a person who enjoyed life and showed it with her beautiful smile. Our sincere condolences to everyone. To the family of Miriam Goldapple, I am most upset about the loss of Miriam at a relatively young age. An outgoing and friendly, family oriented person, she was modest, undemanding, and put others before herself. She was a very grateful person who appreciated whatever was done for her. She will be missed.

Ellie Rosenburg Presner - 19 days ago

Dear Sylvia, Gerald, three fabulous Goldapple children and all your families, I was heartbroken to hear of Miriam's passing. It just seems so impossible! The woman was so full of life, always was, ever since we first became friends as kids in elementary school. To say we were best friends is an understatement. And not necessarily because we spoke every day; in fact, there were periods when - with such busy lives - we weren't in touch for several years. Yet ours was the kind of friendship where we could pick right up again as if no time had passed at all. My sincerest condolences to all of you. Please know that she will be terribly missed.
