Dear Susie, Judith and Family, I just heard about Kappy today and I was so saddened to learn of her passing. She was such an extraordinary woman, and an incredible friend and colleage to my parents, Blema and Arnold. Without her, the Steinberg Simulation Centre would never have come to light. She was a tireless supporter of so many things that my parents advocated for. My heart goes out to you all. With deepest condolences, Margot

Dear Flanders family, we are so terribly saddened by the passing of Kappy. We had the amazing opportunity to be welcomed into Kappy's warm embrace, from Ron's involvement in simulation and medical education at McGill to Anita's sharing of social activism and volunteerism. Kappy was always enthralled to share her stories of the family's history including the British, Australian , Israeli and Canadian epochs. We will sorely miss Kappy's unbounded energy, her passion to help others and her deep sense of social justice. Our thoughts are with you.

Dear Ellen and family, I am very sorry to learn of Kappy's passing. I first met Kappy almost 25 years ago when she became a champion and supporter of The McGill Middle East Program, hosted Her Majesty Queen Noor in the program's behalf, visited our work in the region, and helped us to get to know people with influence with our shared values. Kappy's support was consistent, focused, and very clear about her likes and dislikes. She displayed enormous courage both in health and illness. I miss her already. Jim

Kappy was a force majeure for palliative care at McGill, in Montreal, Canada and Internationally. Dinners at her home were events filled with warmth & gracious hospitality. Personally she served as someone we each turned to in times of difficult decisions and she always met the call "could we talk?" with "sure let's meet". Irreplaceable, she will be sorely missed.

Dear Flanders Family, Kappy and I met in July 2011 when I just started as the new National CEO of Canadian Associates of Ben Gurion University, and we immediately ‘hit it off’. She was a force to be reckoned with, a mind of her own and was extremely devoted to the university and organization here in Canada, of which she and her late Eric, were founders. She still had plans and ideas and was the consummate gracious host for dinners and cocktails she hosted for us. May her memory be a blessing- Yehee zichrah baruch.
