Howard Borenstein - 3 days ago

I echo Shelly Avrith Diamond's comments. My mother Pauline Borenstein, became great friends later in life with Freda, Bertha and Bella but seeing the four of them together was always amazing. They were always laughing and partying like teenagers. I have so many great memories and pictures of seeing them together. My deepest condolences on the loss of a vibrant, wonderful woman.

I'm so very sad to hear of Freda's passing. What a kind gentle and caring person she was. We kept in touch on a regular basis and discussed all kinds of topics. I could almost picture her joy when talking about her family and teaching young kids English. A wonderful woman.

Dave & Mona Abrams - 9 days ago

Stephen , Stanley and families Mona and I were devastated when we heard the news of your mom's passing. My mind was flooded with memories going back over the last 52 years, a fridge full of halavah, times spent with your late dad and mom on the back porch, the yearly breaking of the fast, and the time your mom let us know that at 80 years of age that she had decided to make aliyah to be able to spend more time with her precious grandchildren. She was a strong, opinionated, determined caring, and intelligent woman, who wanted to be closer to her family, but as she said , not close enough to impose. She will be missed.May your memories help you through this difficult time, knowing that even at the end she did it "her way".Baruch Dayan Haemet! Mona, Dave, Sara, , Sam Abrams

Dear Family, My deepest condolences on this great loss..Her zest for life was unbelievable..Your mom and my mom{Bertha Avrith} became good friends later on in their lives..I remember the wonderful times they shared, either exploring the city, walking, going for dinners or just having a girls day with Pauline..In 2011 my cousin and I had the chance to visit with Freda in beautiful Netanya ..Her move to Israel didn't slow her down, she just got busier..Freda beamed with pride whenever she spoke of her family..May your wonderful memories help you through these sad times, and may you all enjoy a long life.
