Dear Allan, Sandy and Lenny. Although I moved from Fleet Road in 1977, I have such fond memories of both your parents and how nicely they treated all of the kids on the street. I also saw your parents at an antique show many years ago in Toronto and found it remarkable that they were just as warm and friendly as I remembered them. It is difficult to lose a parent but you can take comfort in your fond memories and the wonderful example that your father set for you and your children. May his memory be a blessing.

To the family of Aubrey Smofsky our deepest condolences Although I moved to Toronto in 1978 the greater part of my childhood was spent living on Fleet Road across from the Smofsky family . You couldn’t have found A family that physically mirrored my own. I am about seven months older than Alan my sister Ivy is less than a year younger than Sandy and my brother Ian was born in the same year as Lenny. Since Fleet Road was a very small street and not that busy we spent many a late afternoon playing ball hockey inq front of our houses as well as numerous other activities which are to numerous to mention and I don’t want to turn this into a novel. After I left and 78 I’m sure while my parents lived on the street for another 10 years I must’ve run into Aubrey.it wasn’t until my mothers funeral in 2018 that I was able to connect with him again it’s hard to believe that when I left the street Aubrey was only 53 years old I know where does time fly. I always found Aubrey a fair and honest person and easily to get along with. I can understand Alan Sandy and Lenny‘s grief as it was only three Ago that my mother passed away and two years since my father followed her so to speak . we all should be luckyTo have parents who have lived that long. Anyways as I wrote to Lenny a Text a couple of days ago the death of Aubrey ends the connection with Fleet road that our families had but we’ve all moved on the cycle of life continues. Again deepest condolences from myself my wife Eileen my children Erica and Kyle and my grandchildren Olivia and Charlie Always remember of the good that he was As a person and a father.

Dear Sandy, When deep sadness falls upon someone I so cherish as a friend, it's impossible to say it all. My last encounter with your dad , you sat between us. He was well into his advanced years. So vital, sharp and always the charmer. In fun I asked Mr Smofsky if he bluffed at poker. With his engaging grin he replied, but really never answered the question. Always the master of his game. That is the image I hold as a fond memory. To Allen, Sandy, Lenny and your respective and entire family, Terry and I offer our deepest condolences. Since knowing Sandy, I've been inspired by the strong bond of respect and support you share with each other, and had with your beloved parents.... You have been the truest of treasures in their lives. .... Lori.
