My deepest condolences to all who knew Israel Diamond, z'l. Like his name, he shone with his ready smile and greeting every single person in our congregation. He was unique, and he was always there, for every occasion, every lecture, every simcha. It will be difficult to return and not be greeted by Israel and his smile. A good soul. He will be remembered and missed by all. Rachel

For Israel, a man whom had many fans, was incredibly modest, always friendly, cheerful and insightful and a torah scholar. I will miss Israel’s input for all of the classes attended with Chabad Zichron Kedoshin.

Yesterday we lost a member of our family. Israel was as much a part of Dubord & Rainville as any of us. For over 40 years he blessed us with his positive, polite, friendly manner. Always thrilled to just say hi or have a short conversation. It was special to be around Israel, the joy he got from simple interactions. He did have his moments in the earlier years, but I only say that to highlight the remarkable progress he made over time. I’d like to think that’s partly due to how comfortable Israel became at work, with his peers who worked alongside him for decades. I’ve never met anyone from Israel’s family, but I want you to know we appreciated him. Israel was no charity case, he worked here, and we were lucky to have him. He will be remembered and he will be greatly missed by his Dubord family.

Israel was our resident scholar at shul. He knew everyone by name and would greet them warmly always. Always smiling and never missing a Shabbos or Torah class. Though his loss saddens us deeply, his memory blesses us forever.
