Mine and my family’s deepest condolences go out to Mrs. Golda Shait and the entire family. I am so saddened to hear the news. I knew Philip ever since I was a child when he would come to my father’s workplace and it was the natural choice for me to continue working with him as well. He was a gentle man and always kind. My entire family will miss him. May he Rest In Peace in Heaven. To his family we wish a long life to remember him by.

Derek Sigler - 29 days ago

Dear Goldie and Brian, We may have never met, but I want to send my sincerest, deepest condolences. I'm very sad to hear about the sudden loss of “Mr. Shait.” He truly left a mark on me over my time at PWG/KPMG. As many can attest at our office, he's been like a grandfather to me. Whenever we were in the office at the same time, we would often eat lunch together side-by-side and I would love to comment (often guessing what his lunch was) on how he would have the same lunch everyday with a rotation of tuna, egg, smoked salmon (no cream cheese) and once in a while a smoked meat sandwich to change things up. I will always cherish all the stories he shared with me over our hundred+ lunch dates in the office and him asking what’s going on in all aspects of my life. When it's time to go back to the office, I’ll miss asking if it’s time for lunch and whether I should make sure no one is in his go-to seat, while he was sitting down in his overcrowded office full of stacks of papers and books. Overall, Philip Shait was a great and genuine man, extremely likeable and was always able to put a smile on my face and those around him. There will always be a special place in my heart for him. Derek Sigler

Dear Goldie: We are deeply saddened by Philip's passing. You folks have been, for some 18 years, the warmest and kindest of neighbors that anyone could hope for. Philip always had a caring and friendly greeting for us, and when both he and Mark would come home at crazy hours from work, he would joke about who had the longer hours. We will miss him.
