Gerald Rudick - 27 days ago

I met Myer many years ago at Beth El. I used to have breakfast with him at the daily minyans, and could speak with him on any subject. He had many interests and hobbies, and as an elderly single man, it was nice to see how he would conduct his life so independently.... he will be missed by all the people who knew him, and now he is back with his beloved wife. So long my friend, rest in peace. Gerry Rudick

It says in Pirkei Avot (Ethics of Our Fathers) דבר מעט ועשה הרבה, one should say little and do a lot. Mr Saltzman was the exception to the rule; he said a lot a did even more. It was a real treat when he would visit the office to see Carol. He would share his war stories, retold the way Montreal once was and would do stand up comedy for us. As I think back to his visits, it puts a smile on my face. He will be truly missed. Sending much love to Carol and Elliot!

Dear Carol and Elliot. My children (grown adults now) and I are so saddened to see that our cherished cousin Myer has passed away. Everyone in the Caplan family had a special place for him in our hearts because he was such a special loving, energetic, funny man. He was always running to one rehearsal or another and that kept him going, It seems like only yesterday that we were privileged to attend his 90th birthday party and dance the night away. We will always remember him because we have soo many fond memories. May your good times and memories stay with you and ease your pain at this time. RIP Myer

GAIL GORE - 30 days ago

Dear Carol, Joseph, Elliot & Karla, I am truly saddened that "Mikey" passed away. I am beyond grateful he & your mom always made me feel especially welcomed into the Saltzman family. Being able to reminisce is a blessing. I remember Myer, at the head of the Seder table, reciting the Haggadah ( with everyone whispering & shussing each other) but he always kept on going without reproach to anyone, year in & year out! This was Myer 24/7,a devoted & dependable husband to Adele & father to the two most perfect children ever born {!}. His kibitzing, dancing skills, ability to never turn down a second helping, endeared him to all that were fortunate to know him. Mikey,..I will miss but never forget you. Love, Gail
