There are many things that can be said about Auntie Ruth. But I will always remember the special bond that existing between y mother and her younger sister. Many times in their lives they were there to help each other out. Auntie Ruth's passing closes a chapter on a generation that formed the brothers and sisters who were a key part of a very special family who were the Block's.

Dear Debbie, I am sorry to hear about your profound loss. I have so many wonderful memories of your parents, particularly your mom. I don't know if you remember but I would eat lunch at your house almost everyday the first few years of elementary school. Mac and cheese and butterscotch pudding always bring a smile to my face! We haven't seen each other in a lifetime, but your mom is a vivid part of my childhood. My sincere condolences to you and your family, Ricky Steinberg

David and Ruth Sher were an exemplary couple who dedicated themselves to TBDJ in many ways. There was nothing that Max Clamen and David would not do for our Shul. The Lebovics family benefitted from a close relationship with the Sher's. I will never forget the lifts from Shul to McGill right after the morning Shachris service. Interesting that Ruth passed away at the same age as my mother, although 7 years later.
