Dear Barry, Janet and family. Beautiful, lovely, gentle and kind - these are the words I would use to describe dear "Auntie Sylvia". My dear mother, Freda and your Mom were great friends for decades and they had a wonderful relationship. She looked after me when my Mom had to go into hospital and I remember playing with Barry & Janet. I know you will miss her so very much and hope your happy memories will help you through this difficult time. Stay well.

I. spoke your name Janet yesterday, reflecting on COFMA and your great medical care. It was an homage to your mother, not knowing that she had just passed. I Didn't have the opportunity to meet your amazing mother nonetheless, all that has been shared is confirmed in the amazing daughter she raised. I join so many in your time of sorrow in celebrating and honouring your mother.

Harvey and family, It is a sad day for you and all the others who were so close to Sylvia. She was one very special lady who was so welcoming and likeable. I will always remember when our beloved Maxine either brought us to Sylvia’s condo or brought her to us to play majong or canasta.(when she lived in Montreal) It was a special time. Harvey I know the special bond you shared with her, and I know this has been a hard year for you .Sylvia had a full life and lived to 100, that in itself is quite an accomplishment, how blessed she was to have children and grandchildren to cherish. Treasure all your years of memories, and go forward day by day. Life is for the living, covid has made it hard for families to be together. Be strong and you will survive. You are in my thoughts.

Dear Janet, Barry and family...a beautiful, gracious, soft spoken woman has left us. A true friend to my beloved mother Freda, “auntie” Sylvia played a “mean” game of canasta with the regulars each week. So fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother, I’m glad that I took the opportunity to look her up in Ottawa, and to speak with her. May her memory be a blessing, I’m sure her light shines through her large family.
