My condolences on Miriam's passing. It is only recently that I learned of Marla's passing, which came as a big shock. Like Elaine, I was friends with Marla while she was starting out in Toronto as a teacher. We attended many events together exploring new venues in the attempt to meet new friends and make connections. Marla was well loved by all her students, and this was most evident by the piles of chocolates, soaps, candles, and mugs at the holiday season. Whenever I travel down Bathurst and pass her street, I think of her and also of her brother who was in his room studying so very hard for his career ahead. Marla often spoke of her parents with the utmost of love and affection. The best to your family at this time of loss.

We were saddened to learn of Miriam's passing. We had been friends with Marla in Toronto but had grown up only a street away in DDO and often carpooled back and forth together for the Holidays, to be greeted by Miriam and Allan with great fanfare. Their family's bond was a joy. We hope memories of happier times are a source of comfort at this time.

Adeena Wisenthal & Ron Huberman - 22 days ago

Dear Mitchell and family, Ron and I are so sorry to hear of Miriam's passing. She was such a kind and gentle soul - much like Allan. We have such fond memories of both of them. They were so interested in our lives and how our children were doing - truly warm and genuine. My association with the family goes back to the days when I grew up on Davaar in Outremont and we would frequent Harry Huberman's store! Then, when I married into the Huberman family (in-laws Charlotte & Leon), the connection with Miriam and Allan blossomed. Two very special people have left this earth but I can only hope that they are back together (with Marla) and that your fond memories help you during this difficult time.

To Mitchell, Stephanie and Martin, and Mavis, Irwin and the entire family I grieve for and with you for dear Miriam. It was my good fortune to become part of and accepted as family after her and Allan's sweet and wonderful daughter became my bride. Having lost my mom and dad, she and Allan became like my parents. Eight years after Marla became my angel, we l continued our relationship as close as ever, and I am so grateful. Through the grief and tears, I know Miriam and Allan are together with Marla. I shall miss and love.them always. My heart is broken over the passing of Miriam and Allan and I'll think back of them with fondness, gratitude and love until I join Marla and them one day. With love and deepest sympathy, Richard Glaser.
