Dear Marcy, Hannah, Kyle and Bailey, Sincerest sympathy on the loss of your mother and grandmother. I had the pleasure of meeting Esther about 30 years ago when Mandy encouraged me to visit on one of my weekend trips to Montreal. For several years until my parents passed I would visit with Esther and Harold. She was so kind and supportive, offering her thoughtful advice about dealing with my own husband's progressive disease. Esther was wise and courageous, a special lady who had an impact on me. May her memory be for a blessing.

I have fond memories of doing the cha cha in her living room and making videos to show her kids what great shape she was in. Dear Tarder family, I had the privilege of getting to know Esther as we played mahjong for years at a friend’s home. I drove her back to the B’nai Brith House after the games and these moments together were precious. Esther taught me about what true love was remembering how her husband had loved her deeply. She wanted me to be happy. She was a caring friend and I was sad to lose contact with her when she moved to Toronto. She will always remain in my heart as one of the kindest person I ever met.
