Dear Adesky Family: I am another student of the late Rose Adesky. How we all loved her and learned ever so much from her! I had her for 6th Grade and when the 7th Grade teacher took over, your late mother had already started us on the 7th Grade! You should know of no more sorrows. Dolly Greenberg Reiter

Dear Richard, Neil and Denise: as well as being my parents' closest friends for decades, Rose and Phil were like second parents to me during the years I lived in Montreal. I still have such warm and vivid memories of all those Saturdays at your apartment on St. Kevin and of the times our families spent together at the Laurentians and in Edmonton. Patty and Noah join in sending their condolences. May Rose's memory forever be a blessing.

I was one of "Mrs. Adesky" students all those many years ago. Other teaches came and went but she outlasted them all in my heart and thoughts. May wonderful memories of an outstanding woman keep her close to you. Wishing the entire family peace of mind and ease of spirit. Sylvia and ease of spirit.

My sincere condolences to Neil, Richard and family. Your mom was a wonderful teacher and a very special human being. Without a doubt, she was my best teacher in elementary school. She went beyond the standard curriculum -- she had very high standards and brought out the best in her students. I am particularly grateful for the encouragement that she provided to me throughout the Grade 6 year. As I look back to the 1963-4 school year in Room 26, I think about an amazing and dedicated role model who totally immersed herself in the task at hand and spared no effort in providing a most enriching experience to others -- her students. At this sad time, please be comforted by the fact that your mom had such a positive life-long impact on so many people.

To the Adesky Family. The loss of a legend. My favourite teacher of Grades 3-4 and 7 at UTT on St Joseph. Not sure if "Miss Rose" requested me as a student, but I certainly wanted her. After over 60 years, Mrs. Adesky is one of only a few teachers that I care to remember!!

Dear Neil, Richard and Family, I was so sorry to learn of your loss. For a teacher, surely, there can be no more fitting a memorial than to know you are remembered, with fondness, affection and respect, by your students. Mrs. Adesky was my teacher in Grade 6 and I would like to acknowledge the role she played in inspiring me to become a teacher.

I called her Aunt Rose, even though she wasn't my aunt - she was one of my Mom's oldest friends. It's many years since I've seen Aunt Rose but I will always remember her kindness, interest and pride in me as I was growing up. I offer my most sincere condolences to the entire family.

I had the good fortune to have Mrs. Adesky (doesn't matter how long ago, I could never refer to her in any other way) over two grades in Talmud Torah. About twenty five years later she came over to me at a Federation event to say hello. I was incredulous that she remembered. That's a testament to the dedication she applied to her calling. I do believe that for her this was not a mere job.

It is said that the greatest tribute that a teacher may receive is the accolade of students who have succeeded in life because of lessons learned from the teacher. Rose Adesky Z"L deserves every accolade from multiple generations of students that she taught and encouraged and who owe her so much , including the undersigned whom she taught in 1958 .May her memory be for a blessing to her family and friends

Rose Adesky was one of my best teachers at UTT way back in the late 1950's. A trivial recollection- I think she was the teacher who introduced us to ink cartridge pens, when fountain pens were too messy and ball-points had not yet been accepted in schools. I regret that I haven't seen her since those days but still remember her well- I guess she left a lasting impression.
