Although I was not one of Daphne's Rangers, she was a role model for me as my commissioner, camp adviser and camp commandant at Morin Heights when I was a Guide and young Guider, and a continuing influence in my Guiding activities ever since. Thank you, Daphne. 'Go well and safely'.

I would like to express condolences on Daphne's passing. She was a goof friend and co-worker in the Girl Guides with my late mother, Florence Davidovitch-Fox. I remember all the wonderful camping experiences with the Girl Guides and winter trips to her cottage in St. Adele where she taught us how to ski and enjoy winter activities. The best memories occurred in 1954 when she led us on a European trip for 6 weeks. The hightlight was a tour of thr Montefiore estate in England and high tea in their home. We continued on to an international camp in Sweden and visited many sites in Holland, Denmark, and England.

Aunty Monte (Daphne) was a stellar woman who touched my life immensely. I came to admire her and thought of her as a mentor and will do eternally. She lived her life in such a generous and magnanimous way, qualities rarely found today. She was truly a remarkable lady and I will miss her. Thank you Aunty Monte for sharing with me. Kathy xo
