What a lovely tribute for a life well lived. Though I have not seen Chuck in many years, I have but the fondest memories of him through my parents. We even lived on the same street as him (Borden) many, many years ago. He definitely did it ‘his way’. My sincere condolences. Diane Liebling Mendel

We were witness to the love and devotion you all had for your father/grandfather qui throughout the many days and weeks you spent by his side during his recent hospitalization :From the cots that you set up in his room so that he wasn't alone at night, to making sure that he was able to watch the PGA golf in a room with a proper television, and more. May the memories of great times shared with your dad be a source of comfort and strength to all of you in the coming days. Fondly, Nancy and Steven

He leaned in really close one cooking club night at Debbie's and told us a story that had us laughing so hard we wanted another one. And more. He was happy to oblige with all those ladies who were so obviously charmed. Every time I met your Dad I felt how proud and smart and sophisticated he was. I can't imagine your loss and how this breaks your heart. It is impossibly hard to say goodbye...and you're never ready no matter how long you had him for. I guess you guys just have to honour a legend like him by becoming one too. Thoughts and heart and hugs go to all of you who are hurting. Which has to be everyone who ever met him.

My condolences to the family; my dear friend Kurt, Elle, Bryanna and Debbie. Chuck was a great man and in the few instances we shared some time, chair by chair, talking music and more, it really marked me how wise, funny, witty and influential he was. I am glad and also consider it an honour to have met him in these past months and to have spent some time with The Man, The Myth, The Legend. Love and prayers.
