Dear Robinson family, I was fortunate enough to have known your dad from my time at Mont Blanc as both a ski instructor and patroller. He was a delightful person, and always made time to chat about the mountain or simply say hello and thank-you to the staff. We were made to feel special by Phil. May good memories of your dad live on with you forever.

to Phil's family, On behalf of the House of Israel - Ste Agathe and the Jewish community up north we are sorry to hear of Phil's passing. So many precious moments have been spent by families and individuals due to Phil's visionary approach. i personally knew Phil since the late 80's when a Chanukah menorah was displayed on Mont Blanc. He was feisty. He loved to challenge you; while being warm and caring warm. Phil agreed to affix a mezuzah on his office as long as I ski down his hill on skis. I did. My first time. Thank you Phil for your friendship and support. May your soul rest on high. May you be a good arbiter for your family, people and all. To Nancy, Billy and Michael, may your dad's life and memory be a perpetual guiding light for you, yours and generations to come. Hamakom Yenachem Etchem Betoch Shear Availai Tzion Virushalayim. Amen Rabbi Emanuel Carlebach

Great obit Bill. It conveys a sense of your dad as brilliant, fearless, irreverent, funny, complex, a maverick and deeply caring. A real character. Now I see where you get your literary inspiration. What a legacy he leaves.

May this message bring comfort and support, and soothe your grief a little. Sincere condolences to you Billy, Michael and Nancy and all of his family. Repose en paix cher Phil ... To the Robinson Family Phil was a unique individual. As a trained lawyer, any advice he received was absorbed and responded to in a fashion that had you exploring different avenues. Invariably, his opinion was the right way to go. Mont Blanc was the place to ski if you had a young family. He and his staff could not do enough to satisfy his clientele. He was certainly a legend north of Ste Agathe and should be remembered with great respect

Dearest Family, Our history goes back to the very beginning of Phil's arrival in Montreal and of course up north. We became good friends, and slowly the brilliance of Phil surfaced. His love and caring for his children were exemplary. Of course always a dog on his lap, an unlit cigar in his mouth, were the tell tale signs Phil was near. Phil was a giant of a man, with friends and business partners all across the country. Phil ,you led a an amazing life,it would make a great book. We will truly miss your wisdom.RIP
