Many years ago, the word ‘mensch’ came up in a casual conversation between friends. I was struck by how profoundly it expressed so many decent and noble qualities about a person. Norman had all of those wonderful virtues, wrapped in a great sense of humour, accompanied by that ever-present “Isn’t that interesting” grin. It was always enormous fun to be in his company. He leaves the absolute best of legacies to us. Marlene and Chelsea, we know that he is with you throughout this most difficult time. We also know that when the grieving is over, he’ll remain with you on the road ahead. Anne, Rachel, Chanel and I, send you our love and hope to see you very soon. To the entire family, please accept our deepest, most heartfelt condolences.

Dear Weitzman Family, I was completely saddened, and shocked by reading about Norman's passing this morning. The entire team at Paris Mirror is truly heart broken, and we send our sincere condolences to the entire family, but especially to Chelsea. I have such fond memories of sitting in my office with Norman drinking coffee, and he would beam with such pride with each discussion never failing to recount a story about his cherished Chelsea. Norman, was truly a good soul, and a dedicated family man, who leaves us way too soon. He will be missed, and we wish his family strength, and our sympathies during this very difficult time.

Yair Behar - 23 days ago

Dear Marlene and Chelsea, I am incredibly saddened by your loss. For 12 years I spent more time with Norman than anyone outside his immediate family. He sat across from me at his office seat as we worked together, laughed together, ate together, argued together and shared our lives together. He was one of a kind. He was a man of many contradictions. He was noble and exceptional. He was an old soul trapped in a young man`s body. He was intensely private but would share everything with you once you earned his trust. He was wise. He had an endless capacity to love. He was quirky and predictable, he was patient and impatient all at the same time. He never said anything without thinking it through first, but, if when he was attempting to tell a joke he would always butcher it to such an extent that he would have to call Marlene to get the punch line. He was a gentle peaceful soul but would be quick to recite every line of Scarface, and Good Fellas. He had a hard time trusting people`s good nature but when he trusted you there was nothing he wouldn`t do for you. He loved to complain but took delight when his complaining improved things for others. With all these layers and personality quirks I learned that the simplicity of Norman all filters to what he is at his core... At his core and in his heart he was only two things, Marlene`s Soulmate and Chelsea`s Proud Dad. As I stare at his empty chair I grieve with you. I will miss him without measure . With all my love, Yair Behar

Dear Aunty Sarah and cousins, This is such a tragedy, I cannot imagine the pain that you must be going through. As my oldest cousin, I always looked up to Norman and he really was the gold standard . He was such a great son that my own father used to ask him for favours before he would ask his own kids because Norman would never say no. His relationship with Marlene was one in a million, true soulmates. He was a warm, kind, generous person and I have so many fond memories of spending holidays together when we were growing up. Rest in peace Norman and thank you for being such a great nephew to my father.

Dearest Marlene and Chelsea What a burn! What a burn! Talk about a shock! They say that great souls leave this earth earlier. They have paid up all their dues and have reached the height of soul energy. His life was a success, a twosome relationship like there are few and a superb daughter ready to carry on all the great values he has imparted to her. Knowing him, I am certain that his wish would be that each of the two of you continue your allotted time on this earth (to120each) with joy, Heath and determination. He will always be there to guide you, make you feel safe and rock you to sleep in serenity. We have been family for over 35 years, we have nothing left to prove. Please use us all to find the support and strength to surmount your grief and resume your journey. We love you dearly and are waiting for the moments that you will come and collect this love 💕 Sarita

Barbara and Aaron Frost - 24 days ago

Dear Marlene and Chelsea, Sarah, Mitchell, and Elaine We are so sorry to hear about Norman’s sudden passing. Norman and I grew up in each other’s homes; I remember spending so much time with the family as a child, and with Norman and Marlene as a teenager. His infectious smile and unique sense of humour will remain in my memory always. In the past few years we would run into each other on occasion and always enjoyed catching up, and reminiscing about the past. May you be comforted in the knowledge that his kindness and good nature will leave a lasting impression on all those who had the good fortune to know him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, please accept our deepest sympathies.
