I met Shifra about a dozen or so years ago in the Federation building. I haven’t spoken to her in a few years but we used to speak occasionally, mostly just kibitzing and of course talking hockey, of which she knew a lot more than I. I learned that I could sound like an expert on the Habs if I repeated her analysis on the team…lol. But we met again at our JPS reunion a few years ago and reconnected. I have fond memories of Shifra and her family who lived a few blocks away from me. I well remember spending time with her and her mother Bella in their living room. Shifra was also a member of our group at Habonim. She had a huge crush on Moshe Znaimer who was her dancing partner at the Neshefs. What a wonderful and caring person she was.
