Sad news. Although Sybil and I are related (her mom Ann Scott was my father's cousin, her father Joe Goldberg, our family doctor) we hadn’t gotten to know each other until the mid 2000’s. Much by chance, and then through the many email exchanges, I had found a friend. A smart and wise and kind and gracious friend. Fond memories: the Scott reunion in Stowe, visiting Sy and Sybil in L.A. and again later in Burlington. My condolences to the family and to all those fortunate to have known and loved Sybil.
