It is truly the end of an era now that Evelyn is no longer with us. I knew Evelyn my whole life. Aside from her beauty and elegance, she was also an incredible balabusta who kept an immaculate home. When Evelyn had a baby Peter, two-year-old me was jealous. So my mom got me a Peter doll. I dragged him around with me everywhere for years. When there were no yummy treats at my house, I could always count on Evelyn to slip me the best imported chocolate biscuits. Over the years, we became friends with great love and respect for each other. Carol and I were lucky enough to be included in ladies’ lunches with our moms and their lovely friends. Carol, Howard and Peter - your mom was a great lady. How beautiful for you that you had her in your lives and your children’s lives so long (and sharp as a tack to the end). Much love, Rosann
