Dr. David Wayne

Peacefully in his ninety-ninth year on Thursday September 17, 2026.  Beloved husband of Libby Volodarsky Labell and the late Zelda Morris. Devoted father and father-in-law of Steven Wayne and Alice Post, the late Edith Wayne, the late Barbara Boal, the late Katheryn Wayne. David will be fondly remembered by Libby’s children Mitchell Labell, Jason Labell and Nina He (and her son Samuel), by her grandchildren Max and Cali, and Jackson, and by her great grandchildren Sawyer, Wolf and Grant. Cherished grandfather of Kyle and Lexi Wayne. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Lianne and the late Gerald Wayne, Joyce Wayne and Sandy Nickolas von Kaldenberg and brother-in-law of Nathalie and the late Jack Voldar, the late Anne and the late Bunny Breslow.  Loving uncle of Stacey Sholtack and Hannah Wayne Phillips,  Krayna Kagan, Shelley and Rick Polo, Joel Voldar, Tamara and Richard Brunner, Teresa and Eric Capel, Anja Capel, Evie and Murray Rosenberg, Brad Rosenberg, Bonnie and Oren Rosenbloom, Myron and Barbara Breslow, Eleanor Breslow, Kiva and Leah Miller, Ellen and David, Mitch and Lisa Miller. Special thanks to Sherril, Lina, Sonia, Christine, Joy, Rosemarie, and Lara for their care and devotion. Funeral service on Sunday September 20 at 1 pm. at the Erlton Jewish Cemetery, 30th Avenue and Erlton Southwest, Calgary, Alberta.
