Holocaust Survivor
Peacefully on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 three days shy of her ninety-seventh birthday and on the yahrzeit of her beloved husband Gideon. Treasured mother and mother-in-law of Larry and Tammy, and Michael. Adoring Bubbie of Samara and Stephane, Arielle and Danny, Geoffrey; Yamit and Shaulie, and Gal. Proud Big Bubbie of Aalyah, and James; Jake, and Ryan; Ari, Mia, Levi, and Liev. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses Basha and Sam, Moshe and Lottie, all Holocaust Survivors; and by Gideon’s siblings Avram and Beverly, and Eli. Dear sister-in-law of Ira. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family, and by her dear friend Adele Retik.
The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Helen’s caregiver Raquel Bondoc for her devotion and compassion. Special thanks to the staff of the Jewish General Hospital, the fourth floor staff at Mount Sinai Hospital, and the Cummings Centre for Seniors, all for their exceptional care.
