Lucy Gold (née Bookbinder)

After a brief illness, in her ninety-third year on Monday, August 4, 2025.  Devoted wife of the late Albert (Sonny) Gold for fifty-five years. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Helaine and the late Nathan Baril, Linda Gold, Donna and Shawn Apel. Loving Bubby of Alana, Ben and Emily; Alex and Lara, Hannah and Colin. Adoring great-grandmother of Noah, Joshua and Elliott. Predeceased by her cherished brothers William (Billy), Irving (Bookie) and George Bookbinder and her brother-in-law Jack Gold. Dear sister-in-law of Suzanne Bookbinder and Sylvia Gold. Lucy will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Drs. Doris Steg, David Langleben and the staff of K-6 Jewish General Hospital. Heartfelt thanks to Lucy’s caregiver Jojo for her exceptional care and compassion and to the nurses and staff at the Waldorf residence.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Wednesday, August 6th at 1:00 p.m.  Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
