Tragically, in Montreal, on Monday, June 22, 2026. Loving father and father-in-law of Deborah and Avi Abergel, Shlomi, and Mayane and Dean Griefman. Proud Sabba Michel of David, Romy, Michael, Noa, and Emuna; and Lianne. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Marco and Ilanna, Justine and Jacques, Suzy and Marcus, Arlette and Yossi, Paula and the late Habib, Claude, Berti and Orly. Michel will be missed by his family, his good friend Leon Mayer and numerous friends, and all those who knew him.

Michel was the most generous of men, always ready to help anyone in need. He lived for his children and grandchildren, who meant more to him than anything. He loved life and lived it to the fullest—enjoying the best restaurants, and always being the life of the party. During his many years in the garment industry, he was known for quietly helping those who could not afford a suit, often providing one at no cost.

Michel’s life was taken suddenly and far too soon, leaving his family and all who loved him devastated by this unimaginable loss. He will be remembered for his enormous heart, his zest for life, and the countless ways he made the lives of others better.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, June 24 at 9:45 a.m. Burial and Shiva to follow in Israel. Donations in Michel's memory may be made here.

Fier Sabba Michel de David, Romy, Michael, Noa et Emuna; et Lianne. Cher frère et beau-frère de Marco et Ilanna, Justine et Jacques, Suzy et Marcus, Arlette et Yossi, Paula et feu Habib, Claude, Berti et Orly. Michel manquera à sa famille, à son cher ami Léon Mayer, à ses nombreux amis et à tous ceux qui l'ont connu.

Michel était d’une générosité exceptionnelle, toujours prêt à venir en aide à ceux qui en avaient besoin. Il vivait pour ses enfants et ses petits-enfants, qu'il chérissait plus que tout au monde. Il aimait la vie et la vivait pleinement, appréciant les meilleurs restaurants, et étant toujours l’âme de la fête. Au cours de ses nombreuses années dans l’industrie du vêtement, il était reconnu pour aider discrètement ceux qui n’avaient pas les moyens de s’offrir un complet, qu'il leur offrait souvent gratuitement.

Michel nous a quittés soudainement et bien trop tôt, laissant sa famille et tous ceux qui l’aimaient dévastés par cette perte inimaginable. On se souviendra de lui pour son immense générosité, sa joie de vivre et les nombreuses façons dont il a contribué à rendre la vie des autres meilleure.

Le service funéraire aura lieu mercredi 24 juin à 9h45 chez: Paperman & Fils, 3888, rue Jean-Talon Ouest. L’inhumation et la shiva auront lieu en Israël. Les dons à la mémoire de Michel peuvent être faits ici.
