With the care and comfort of her daughter Mandie beside her, Mona died peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Mona was the dear wife of the late Albert z”l and the loving and loved mother of Tami, Mandie, and Ian (Doreen). Our mom was born on May 3, 1935, in Montreal to the late Carl z”l and the late Sonia Wagner z”l. She was the older sister of Flora, Ken (Joyce), and the late Barb z”l. She was a cherished aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, and friend. A generous and caring person, mom always celebrated your success and happiness. Mom was an elementary school teacher who loved traveling, reading and crossword puzzles. Her collections of coins and stamps were meticulously catalogued. She loved working in her vegetable garden and sharing the produce. For many years, she was a volunteer for the city of Côte Saint-Luc. We are grateful for the kind and compassionate care our mom received from the floor nurses, LPNs and PABs of Kastner Pavilion (K2) at the Jewish Eldercare Centre. We also extend heartfelt thanks to May and Jasmine, Jennifer, Jocelyn, and Maricel – caregivers and companions who helped our mom as if she was theirs. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, May 27 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Shaare Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva strictly private. Evening services at Shaare Zion at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
