Olga Amar (née Sabbah)

Peacefully, at home, on Monday, September 1, 2025. Beloved daughter of Messod (z”l) and Zamila (z”l) Sabbah. Loving wife of Albert Amar (z"l) for fifty-nine years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Pauline and John Freedman, Natalie Amar and Mark Lesk, Simon Amar, and Michel Amar (z”l). Proud grandmother of Michelle, Noah, Lielle, Noemi, and Luotta (Lulu). Dear sister and sister-in-law of Albert Sabbah (z”l) and Victoria Sabbah; Simone and Jacques Maman (z”l); Joe Sabbah; David (z”l) and Esther Sabbah (z”l); and Jacob (Coco) and Rachel Sabbah. Olga will also be immensely missed by her nieces and nephews who were like siblings to her, by her family, friends, and all those who knew and loved her.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, September 2 at 12:00 p.m. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter’s home will be private; due to mobility issues, Shiva will also be at her sister’s home (5757 rue Lemieux) from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. daily. Paisiblement, à sa maison, le lundi 1 septembre 2025, est décédée Mme. Olga Amar (née Sabbah). Fille bien-aimée de Messod (z”l) et Zamila (z”l) Sabbah. Épouse adorée d’Albert Amar (z”l) pendant cinquante-neuf ans. Mère et belle-mère dévouée de Pauline et John Freedman, Natalie Amar et Mark Lesk, Simon Amar, et Michel Amar (z”l). Fière grandmère de Michelle, Noah, Lielle, Noemi, et Luotta (Lulu). Chère sœur et belle-sœur d’Albert Sabbah (z”l) et Victoria Sabbah; Simone et Jacques Maman (z”l); Joe Sabbah; David (z”l) et Esther Sabbah (z”l); et Jacob (Coco) et Rachel Sabbah. Olga manquera énormément à ses nièces et neveux, qui étaient comme des frères et sœurs pour elle, à sa famille, à ses amis et à tous ceux qui l'ont connue et aimée.

Le service funéraire aura lieu mardi le 2 septembre à midi chez: Paperman & fils, 3888 rue Jean-Talon O. L’inhumation aura lieu au cimetière "Hebrew Sick Benefit Association" situé au 5015, rue de la Savane. La Shiva au domicile de sa fille sera privée ; en raison de difficultés de mobilité, la Shiva se tiendra également au domicile de sa sœur (5757, rue Lemieux) de 14 h à 17 h quotidiennement.
