In Loving Memory of Robert Ervin Asch

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Ervin Asch at the age of 79.

Born in Romania, Robert lived in Israel with his family until immigrating to Canada at the age of 13.  He lived a life filled with hard work, family, love, and cherished memories. He was a passionate and dedicated businessman who took great pride in everything that he did.

Robert will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Christiane Cassir; his children, Jeremy (Ann), Jonathan, and Victoria (Francis); and his grandchildren, CJ and Zachary. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family, his friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but his memory and the love he gave will remain with us forever.

Robert was a devoted family man who loved travelling with his family, visiting churches, listening to music, watching movies, and spending time with his beloved dogs, Teddy, Kylo, and Stormy. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and all his friends.

He was also a truly debonair man, always well-dressed, polished, and carrying himself with quiet confidence. He had a presence about him that made him unforgettable.

A man of few words, Robert showed his love through his actions, his guidance, his patience, and simply by being there for the people that he loved.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, Gizela Ausch and Zoltan Ausch.

We love you, Robert, and we will miss you for the rest of our lives.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses at the Glenn and to the entire team at Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence for the exceptional care, compassion, and love that they showed Robert and our family during his final days. We will be forever grateful for the kindness and dignity that they gave him.
