Rose Gold (née Prosterman)

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving children, on Wednesday August 6, 2025, in Toronto, in her ninety-second year. Devoted wife of the late Bernard Gold for fifty-eight years. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Frank Gold and Cathy Kaplansky-Gold, Jewel Gold and Robert Cohen. Very proud Bubby of Ashley and Kari, Jessica and Matt; Daniel and Tara, Matthew and Danielle. Loving great-grandmother of Willa and Lucy; Maeve and Emmett; Ethan and Nathaniel. Dear sister-in-law and sister of Eunice and the late Leonard Prosterman; and sister-in-law of Muriel Gold-Poole and the late Maurice Gold, Beverley and the late Jack Heitelman, the late Buddy and the late Rose Gold, the late Jerry and the late Sharon Gold. Rose will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Baycrest Terraces and to her loving caregivers, Fe, Marylou and Fer, for their support and compassion. Graveside service on Friday, August 8 at 1:00 p.m., at the Beth Ora Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, 4189 boul. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux. Shiva Friday following burial at Hilton Garden Inn until 5:00 p.m., continuing in Toronto Sunday and Monday.
