Sultana Sebbag (née Hazan)

It is with profound sadness that the family of Sultana Hazan Sebbag « Suzanne » or « Mémé », as she is affectionately known to her children and grandchildren, announces her passing on October 23, 2025.

Suzanne was a loving and devoted wife to the late Abraham Sebbag. Mother of Micheline (Pat), Jack, Elizabeth (Richard) and Valerie (Steve). She was the proud grandmother of Samantha, Julian (Victoria), Alexandra (Nick), Daniel, Jessica and Jason (Gabby).  Daughter of the late Samuel and Perla Hazan and sister to Yaffa, the late Rachel and Chaim Hazan. Special thanks to her caregivers Tessie, Elizabeth, Cecelia and to the entire team at Glenmount and Jewish Eldercare for their kindness and compassion for her end-of-life care.   She will be missed by her extended family living in Canada, USA, France and Israel and by her friends old and new.  

Suzanne’s love language was cooking, whether it was a casual dafina on a Saturday, an elaborate traditional Moroccan meal for the holidays or baking delicious deserts to have with mint tea.   

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, October 24, at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Farband Labour Zionist Organization Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O.
