On Thursday, December 4, 2025, one month before her 104th birthday. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Dr. Marcelo and Maxine Bercovici. Beloved grandmother of Daniel, Steve and Aviva, Heidi, and Melanie and Adam. Special great-grandmother of Eitan and Maya.  Also survived by her extended family in Israel. Predeceased by her husband Gary Berkman and her siblings. Wanda was a survivor of the Holocaust and had an indomitable fighting spirit that enabled her to overcome all of her life’s challenges with courage, determination and dignity.  She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, and will forever remain a source of strength and inspiration to her family. Our deepest gratitude to the caring and compassionate staff at Beit Chai Residence and the Palliative Care Unit of the Jewish General Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W. on Sunday, December 7 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the Beth-El Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
