Eve Schafer (née Vineberg)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eve Schafer on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in her ninety-eighth year.  Beloved wife of the late Lou for sixty-three years. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Steve and Melissa, the late Clifford, Sheldon and Jill, Cindy and Gabe. Cherished Bubby of Benjamin and Marija, Noah; Abby, Audrey; Sam and Hadrien, Jesse. Proud great-Bubby of Amadeo and Alina.  Predeceased by her loving siblings and their spouses, Rose and Jack Ephraim, Louis Vineberg, Jean and Leo Schwartz, and by her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Abraham and Anne Schafer, Rose and Ben Neidik, Joe and Connie Schafer.  Eve will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit, easy laughter, and kind, loving nature.  Huge thanks to the staff of 7N at Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their exceptional care, kindness, and compassion.
