It is with great sadness that the family of Reysa Diane Vaintrub announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in her seventy-seventh year. Born in Montreal, she was the daughter of the late Louis Vaintrub and the late Marilyn Cohen Vaintrub Issenman. Dear sister of Ellen Vaintrub Brzozak and sister-in-law of Joseph Harry Dynbort (Jerry). Dear aunt of Lee and Aly Brzozak and great-aunt of Hayden Bailey Brzozak.
Reysa was a devoted teacher for twenty-five years and when she retired she enjoyed extensive travelling and collecting mementos from all the countries she visited all around the world.
The family would like to thank Susan, Mona and Michelle, as well as the rest of the wonderful staff of Kastner 4 and Hope 4 at the Jewish Eldercare Centre who took care of Reysa, especially in the last few months. It did not go unnoticed. Special thanks to Dr. Earl Edelstein. Heartfelt gratitude to Reysa’s devoted and dedicated caregiver, Gladys, who took care of her everyday for the past few years and whose compassion meant a lot to Reysa and her family.
