It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend at the age of 83 on Friday, September 25, 2026.

For 61 wonderful years, he was the devoted husband and best friend of Sheila, sharing a life filled with love, laughter, travel, and countless cherished memories.

He was an incredible father to Mitchell (Marie Pierre Nieto), Warren (Stephanie Gliksman), and Bruce (Tami Tevel). His greatest joy was his family, and he took immense pride in each of his children and the families they built.

He was an adoring Grandpa Bob to Judd, Brandon, Maia, Ethan, Riley, Adrien, Hunter, Ty, Wyatt, and Dylan. He treasured every moment with his grandchildren and created a lifetime of memories that they will carry with them always.

He will be deeply missed by his brother Stanley, his sisters-in-law Marcelle and Gloria, and by his many family members and friends whose lives he touched. He was the son of the late Sam and the late Rose Garfield and Son-in-law of the late Sender and the late Sara Israel

His was an amazing life, rich with adventure, family, and love. He lived fully, gave generously, and was happiest surrounded by the people he loved. His warmth, humour, spirit, and devotion to his family will never be forgotten.

He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and a family who will forever be grateful to have shared his journey.

May his memory be a blessing.

Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon West on Monday September 28, 2026. Burial at The Temple Emanu-el Cemetery, Mount Royal. Time of service to be announced.
