Esther Kanfi (née Applebaum)

It is with deep sorrow that Esther’s family conveys her passing on the evening of August 20, 2025, in her 87th year. Esther was predeceased by her beloved husband Ady, her cherished son Shady and her dear sister Phyllis. She will be sadly mourned by her sister Edna Katz-Silver, her daughter-in-law Ines Holzbaur, by her grandchildren Maxime-Hannah and Abigaël, by her brothers-in-law Prosper, Jack, Henry and David, her sisters-in-law Lucie, Suzie, Varda and Zehava and by her nieces, nephews and their families. We wish to give thanks to the doctor, the social worker and the staff of the VIGI-CHSLD who cared for Esther, the ER staff of the JGH and Alexandra Pinard of the Public Curator Office who oversaw her welfare. A special mention as well to Genevieve Watier from the Pierrefonds-CLSC who devoted so much of her time to Esther’s care.
