Martin Segal

Peacefully, in his ninety-first year, on Monday, June 10, 2024. Devoted husband of the late Carole Officer for sixty-one years. Beloved and loving father and father-in-law of Sheryl Segal, Terry Segal and Kelly Castiel and father-in-law of John Moncarz. Cherished Zaidy of Stephanie Moncarz and Mat Wolfe, Lindsey Moncarz and Daniel Blum, Ryan Moncarz; Laura Segal, and Julia Segal. Proud “Big Zaidy” of Ivy, Lila and Tori Wolfe. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Beatrice and the late Dave Etinson; and brother-in-law of the late Sheila Ross. Son of the late Pearl Hitzig and the late Harry Segal; and son-in-law of the late Ruth Bell and late Saul Officer. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Martin’s kind, gentle nature and devotion to his family will be an inspiration to all. The family would like to express their gratitude to Marie Faith for her care and devotion, and to Dr. Michael Greenberg, nurse Chan and the staff of 3 North at the Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Centre. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, June 14 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Slumber Haven Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva to be announced.
