Dear Morris and family... I just want to offer my sincerest condolences for your loss. Cousin Rosalie was always my "older" cousin and I always looked at her with so much admiration. She was kind hearted and had so much patience for us all when we were growing up and I always looked forward to seeing her Sunday afternoons at Grandma Millie"s house. Be well during this difficult time.

Dear Morris, Steve, Elliot, Elisa and families. We were very saddened to learn of Rosalie's passing. She was truly a mench above all else. Her devotion to her family was always present and her special care of her beautiful Elisa shone through. We have fond memories of hockey games and tournaments as our boys were growing up. May the wonderful memories you share be of comfort. Stay strong for each other at this trying time.

Rosalie made my time in Dollard Hockey and North Shore Hockey a pleasure. She was generous with her time to a fault. There are thousands of young people in our city and country who’s lives were made better because of her dedication to youth sport and her community. I shall miss her.

She was truly a wonderful generous loving person. She not only supported her sons consistently but was also a fixture; a tireless volunteer in the large Dollard and North Shore Hockey Programs throughout the 80's. When our boys were in hockey , we were lucky enough to be friends and Ita spent hours and hours together with Rose. They “dined “ at Chenoy’s several times a week...and still called one another to continue their conversations into the night. We will always have fond memories. To Morris, Steve, Elliot and your whole family our deepest condolences. So sorry we are so far away and can't be with you at this tough time. Ita and Abe

Hello Morris and Family. Rosalie was very kind to me as a kid growing up in the Fainer family. I remember her very fondly and I was lucky she was a part of my family. I would often sit with her and Morris in Grandma Millie's den, amidst the lady chatter and feverish needlepointing. Thank you Morris for being so warm to me and keeping me engaged as I was growing up. My sincerest sympathies to you and the kids.

My Dearest Moish and Children -What can I say! My lifelong close friend since you were born, when we lived together on Esplanade Ave. me on the ground floor and you right on top of me on the second floor. And we had a common uncle, aunt and cousin (also Yudie) in Brooklyn who often came up to Montreal to be with us. We always played together across the street on the mountain (Fletchers Field) and who can forget the time when you were at most four or five and I, just a year or two older, went for a walk down St Urbain to Pine Ave and up to Park Avenue to walk back to play in the swings in the playground on Duluth and Park, and have both our parents frantically looking all over for us until we toddled back home. You introduced me to Rosalie right from the start and my help with Elliot's arrival will never be forgotten. Your moving to the West Island took you much further away from our physically meeting very often, but our hearts (yours, Rosalie's and mine) were always as close as before. Rosalie was always so sweet and, the two of you were always inseparable. I ask you and your entire family to please accept my deepest and truly heartfelt sympathy, May you know no further tzar. Yudie

Before Rosalie Soifer was Rosalie SOIFER, before she was anybody’s mom, before she was anyone’s grandmother, Rosalie was our uncle Moishe’s girlfriend. Uncle Moishe drove down from Montreal to Long Island to introduce her to us. Robin and I were little kids. Our uncle Moishe had never introduced us to any of his girlfriends before. He must have had some. He looked like the next agent 007 to us. But “Rosie” was like a member of the Royal family. She could have played a part on THE CROWN. I could see her with a silk kerchief on her head and big sun glasses. She was beautiful, self assured (without being the least bit haughty). She was prepared to be delighted, and expecting nothing less. She loved our uncle as much as we did and he loved her more than anyone in this world. That was obvious. In all the years that we called her “Auntie Rosie,” she always lived up to our first impression. She was above all loving and giving and guileless. She was also intelligent and articulate, but most of all—if you were lucky enough to have her trust, she was your most loyal fan. Surprisingly, very few people who pass away are actually missed by all the people they knew when they lived, Rosalie Soifer will be among those few. We will all miss our dear, darling “Rosie.”

Dear Morris, Elliott and Jessy, Steven and Jessica, and Elisa. Even though we knew it was inevitable we were still so saddened when we heard about the loss of Rosalie. Our friendship spanned through the years since before all our children were born. We celebrated all the Bar-Mitzvahs, Birthdays and Weddings together. We remember a wonderful week-end in Lake Placid together when all our children were little. Rosalie is at peace now and we hope all the wonderful memories and there were so many will comfort you at this sad time. ALice and Michael Kotler.
