_______________________________________________________

To sum up my life, I was grateful for the little things, and they became my biggest things. Grateful to be born as an only child in Montreal on August 22, 1941, to the most unbelievably loving parents, Jack and Molly Sheinman, who taught me by their selfless examples. Grateful for being married to Teddy Salonin, my rock, the love of my life, who made our hearts beat as one. Grateful for the special bond between myself and son Michael and his wonderful wife Carol Wilson, who taught me strength, endurance and positive thinking. Mike, in his brilliance, introduced me to the world of modern technology which totally enriched my life, even up to this day. Grateful for my exceptional and loving daughter Mindie whose selflessness and commitment instilled in me an appreciation for every moment in my life and with whom I spent my last wonderful and productive years. Grateful for my amazing four grandchildren and their loves ones who followed their dreams and succeeded: Lauren Salonin and Jessica Minten, Cierra Salonin and Evan d'Iannone, Jasmine Schecter and Zachary Izenberg, Zachary Schecter and Kelly Cooperberg. Grateful for my grandchildren, Zachary and Dr. Jasmine DMV, who welcomed me into their home with open arms and would say every day, "I love you grandma". Grateful to my wonderful physician Dr. Rami Younan, Surgical Oncologist, who gave me many more extra years of life. Grateful to my caring Hepatologist at the CHUM, Dr. Hélène Castel. Grateful to Dr. Shannon and Angie who were always there for me both as physicians and friends. Grateful to Dr. Robbin Billick, Dermatologist, for his kindness and expertise. Grateful for the happiness, kindness, love and laughter with true friends. Grateful for the unconditional love of our eight rescue dogs who gave me comfort and joy every single day. Grateful to the wonderful donor family for the kidney transplant that gave our family member the "Gift of Life". Grateful to "Hashem" for giving me life, strength, and meaning to my life.
