Rosanne Elbling (née Klein)

1951 – 2026

It is with deep sadness and profound love that we announce Rosanne’s passing on Sunday, September 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and dear friends. Beloved wife of the late Steven (Shimmy) Elbling. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Daniel Elbling and Orit Schieir, David Elbling and Sara Elbling. Proud and adoring Bubby of Stevie, Jack, and Leila. Loving sister and sister-in-law of Bill and Madeleine Klein, and sister-in-law of the late Sandi Elbling. Cherished daughter of the late Morris and the late Vera. Rosanne will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her nephew Adam and nieces Veronica and Jaycee, extended family, dear friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Rosanne was a woman of extraordinary kindness and generosity. She gave freely of her time to everyone around her and derived her greatest joy from being surrounded by the people she loved. Rosanne spent her career in education, shaping young minds and supporting children with the same patience, dedication, and warmth that defined her personal life. Outside of her work and family, her heart held a special place for her beloved cat, Caramel, who brought her endless comfort and delight over the years.

Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Wednesday, September  23 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Chevra Thilim Pinsker Congregation Section, Baron de Hirsh Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her home.
